"Golden Sunset, Blue Rain, Vol. 1" is the first in a series of four albums of music by Nicholas Peters designed primarily for the purposes of shamanic journeying.

The music found in this volume focusses on the prominent use of multitracked vocals as the 'sonic driver' to allow the listener to change their state of consciousness, in order to enter the worlds in nonordinary reality. Additionally, track 5 features the use of multitracked Scottish tin whistles.

The album contains three pieces: Summoning the Ancestors, Parts 1-4 (tracks 1-4), The Power Song of the Shaman (track 5) and Wakan Tanka, Parts 1-5 (tracks 6-10).

Album total playing time: 48'40".
