"Golden Sunset, Blue Rain, Vol. 3" is the third in a series of four albums of music by Nicholas Peters designed primarily for the purposes of shamanic journeying. The sounds, voices and instruments in this album serve as 'sonic drivers' to allow the listener to change their state of consciousness, in order to enter the worlds in nonordinary reality.

This album is comprised of two pieces, 'Flight, Pts. 1-11' (tracks 1-11, playing as gapless tracks), and 'Worlds Apart' (track 12).

'Flight' introduces the listener to new sounds: egg shaker and wooden frog percussion, as well as recordings of birdsong.

Both 'Flight' and 'Worlds Apart' incorporate new sound processing techniques, not found on Vols. 1 and 2.
